Soft cotton woven with tan and white threads nicely textured neutral colors. Cover with insert is thick and heavy. Exactly what I wanted. Major downside: Ribbon/button detail is poorly constructed. Sown uneven and twisted and does not lay flat and impossible to iron down. Shams are the same. I'd ask for a replacement but won't risk getting another with same problem. Worthy of 5 stars without these issues.
