Package and item both arrived without damages. Item was tightly folded in a sealed plastic package, and then rolled into an even tighter plastic sleeve. It was very difficult to open as it cannot be cut open with sharp objects without damage to the mattress. Once open and exposed to air, it seemed to puff up a slight bit. Was very disappointed about how thin it was and that it appeared to be just an overpriced egg-carton type mattress. Definitely does not come as shown in the picture which was very deceiving! Have slept on it for past 3 nights and seems okay. It does feel a little better, but you can feel the little divots in the mattress when you first lay down , but wears away after a few minutes. As for the memory foam as described, there is absolutely no difference than a standard type of equal make. Will be keeping it since it seems to be way too much trouble to try to repackage it for shipping... definitely not a talent I possess!

Made sleeper sofa so much more comfortable for overnight guest! Glad I bought this mattress topper.

Im a “young” 60 year old with BAD, back, neck and spine. To write such a long review for a simple item must say something about my life stage! I’m a HUGE fan of thin gel memory foam toppers when I travel. I’ve packed unopened 1.5” or 2” toppers in checked luggage because i got tired of having a bad back every vacation or weekend trip in hotel beds, even “good ones.” This TWIN topper was bought so we’d have a daybed on the ground floor of our house for guests like my 90 year old mother who can’t do steps. friends and family visiting who can’t use steps. I bought a cheap barely acceptable twin mattress but this topper it feels good! My daughter and I love the egg crate bumpy side but my 90 year old mom liked the smooth side. For a topper to have maximum benefit for daily use, it should be 3-4 inches. This thickness is perfect for a guest room or travel (and inexpensive enough to leave as a “tip” for the hotel housekeeper.)

Mattress pad was great. Perfect for our use. Best part was no chemical smell.
