The comforter comes in a shrink wrapped packet, but it fluffs up very quickly after taking it out of the bag. It is very pretty and has a nice texture to the material. I like the little poofs of material that are raised on the flowers and the material is almost like a crêpe look. it has a nice weight to it. I believe it could be cool in the summer and warm in the winter because of the way, the filling is placed. It is a light charcoal gray with a white washed background. The gray subtlely shows through the white on the background. It is a very nice comforter!
