Of course, the riser is simply a curved pipe, threaded on each end, what can go wrong? The problem is Sign of the Crab's beyond cheesy suspension system for the shower curtain and shower head. Everything is held together with set screws, i.e friction. In order to keep the whole shebang from eventually collapsing again (hence the riser purchase: the initial collapse broke the original riser), I had to replace set screws with pins, after I drilled clear through the tubing.
We're kinda stuck with SOTC for now, but when we redo the bathroom, it will not be with any Sign of the Crab equipment.
