I really like the bit of red in the plaid which is why I bought the set. I have washed them, they are soft. I bought a light grey duvet cover to with the sheets. I have not yet put them on the bed. I have a cat whose sleeps on the bed and need a throw or smaller flannel sheet for her and to protect the duvet cover.
