It is large enough to hold the specialty soaps sold at Whole Foods and the glass bowl/ plate is very thick. The design of the wall plate goes very well with the Moen towel rack.

Cute little soap dish - dish comes out for cleaning. I bought it in oil rubbed bronze and the finish was good, not fake. Also a heavy and sturdy piece.
