The color is as described -- a really nice beige. The fabric is thicker than some of the other cheaper bed skirts that I have bought/returned. The decorative stitching at the bottom is a nice touch. My one issue with this bed skirt is that it is horribly wrinkled and it's been a challenge to get the wrinkles out. It arrived with strong creases and wrinkles from being in a vacuum-sealed package. I followed the laundering directions (cold water/gentle cycle, tumble dry low) and it was still wrinkled after washing/drying. Ironing is not recommended for this product, but I did a light heat iron on it anyway. Still wrinkled. Put the skirt on the bed. Even more wrinkle by the time I got it on the bed. Used wrinkle release spray. Slight improvement, but still wrinkled. All I can hope for now is that the wrinkles will eventually hang out as time goes by. It looks sloppy -- especially where the pleats are -- compared to rest of my bedding set. I would love to know how the people who created this product's images were able to get the crisp look that I had expected. (Not being sarcastic -- I would really love to know what they did because I will follow those steps.) Overall, I would rather have no bed skirt than a perpetually wrinkled bed skirt. This thing has been a bit high maintenance so far, and never in my life have I thought that a bed skirt would take up this much of my time. I do not necessarily recommend this product unless you are really good at wrinkle removal and/or have enough patience to see if the wrinkles will dissipate over time.
