A solid piece of furniture and looks much more expensive than the price tag.

This table is beautiful, the textured pattern and color give it an elegant look, and it's solid wood. I tried using it as a home office desk, and for a couple of days it was fine. But I soon noticed it isn't ergonomic: keeping my shoulders elevated for hours of work started causing neck pressure. I compared it to other desks I've worked comfortably at and found this one is an inch and a half taller. It turns out 28 or 29 inches works for me, but 30 inches doesn't. I considered raising my chair to compensate, but the desk's boxy base means my knees hit the underside of the drawer when I sit close enough to work. My advice: if you want this as a decorative piece or an occasional writing desk, it's lovely. But for long work sessions, it falls short. I'm now on the hunt for my next desk.

This desk is very solid. The drawer is also very smooth and comes out a lot so you can store a good amount of stuff in there. Amazing product for the price.
