I purchased this desk because it was the perfect size for a small space in my room, and it works well for my needs as a computer table and mail drop area. However, there were a few disappointments. I was expecting the hardwood to have a more visible grain, but the surface looks more like a smooth, hard plywood than solid wood. The assembly process was also more time-consuming than anticipated—my husband, who is very experienced with building furniture, spent about 5–6 hours putting it together. Another issue is with the file cabinet design. It includes pre-cut grooves for metal bars intended to hold hanging files, but standard hanging files don’t actually fit properly. That was frustrating and makes that feature less usable than expected. Other than these issues, the desk looks like the picture.
Overall, the desk serves its purpose and fits the space perfectly, but the material quality, assembly time, and file cabinet design could definitely be improved.
