3.5/5. This comes in 2 large and heavy boxes - one is ~115 pounds and the other a bit heavier. Even if you are really strong you will need a friend to help you get it in the house because the boxes are large/awkward. Don't mistake heavy for super high quality. The quality is fine but this is still engineered wood wrapped in a very thin laminate, which could easily peel over time. There are dozens of pieces and hundreds of hardware parts. We will see how this holds up. Some of the pieces, like right and left end and a few of the drawers have other pieces either glued or attached with dowels. It seems maybe a little flimsy in some areas - other parts of it are very solid. Hopefully the drawer slides/rails holds up too. Attaching the rails is probably the most tedious/annoying part of the assembly. My desk came with a piece damaged (the right end). Sauder (the manufacturer) is very easy to deal with so far. They have a website where you can submit a request for a replacement part and a customer service employee got back to me the next business day asking for more details. Its promising that they will ship me a single replacement part and not another 100 pound box. Country of manufacture is Malaysia. Overall a nice looking desk. Very large and reasonably sturdy overall but a few weak spots.

I really love this desk. It’s the perfect size for my space. The pieces are decently constructed, no warping or peeling so far. Note that putting it together takes some time, and is easier with two people.
