Bureau en bois massif avec huche Pamphilos

The desk is pretty and easy to assemble. It is faux wood grain printed onto an MDF-type material. My one big complaint is that the desk itself could stand to have more stable weight-bearing parts. The back portion of the table top is held together by screws that are drilled up through the table top and into a poorly-secured support piece. I imagine if you put too much weight on this desk it would end badly. I currently have my MacBook Air on it as well as a typewriter. Aside from my complaint, it really does look quite nice in my apartment.

The description said this desk is made of wood. It’s definitely not. It’s made of composite, with vinyl veneer printed to look like wood. Not only is the desk not actual wood, pattern of the veneer is repetitive so it really *looks* fake, too. If you don’t care about it being very obviously fake wood, then it’s a totally fine desk. I like the hight- it’s high enough that I don’t bang my knees on the underside. There’s plenty of worktop space without the desk taking up half the room. It took about an hour to assemble. Not because it’s difficult, but the directions we’re great. One piece was mislabeled.

I love his desk. It’s the perfect size for my small house.
