This desk is cheaply made and way overpriced for the product make up. It's basic particle board with a cheap white laminate veneer. The file cabinet is not standard size file but legal so none of my current folders fit which I did not realize when I purchased it. The back of the file cabinet is a piece of heavy duty cardboard and the bottoms of the drawers are flimsy photowood cardboard like substance. The instructions on putting it together stink and the video's aren't really much help. It took me two precious hours just to get the file cabinet together only to realize I had the top backwards and the back is not laminated so particle board was facing front. The company was good about sending me a new top, which I had to wait for about 1 1/2 - 2 weeks to get before I could move forward with completing construction. When I resumed construction and opened the top portion of the desk to put it together, because of the weight of the desk, the top and sides were both damaged in shipping and I now have to wait for replacement parts again. It really is the cheapest piece of furniture I have bought in over 30 years!!! I do not recommend you buy this unless you are only looking for something decorative and don't plan to use it. Better yet, save your money and buy something local that you can see and feel in person. If I could return this desk, I would in a New York minute.
