Avoid this like a nasty germ!!! It is absolutely garbage! NOT “THICK MDF” no way it holds 45 lbs per shelf. If you value your items or books, choose something else. Pretty from a distance, expensive for poster boards. Returning.

Looks awesome, it does have a strong pine wood smell.

The good: The bookcase is beautiful and fits my space so nicely. It came fairly quickly which is always nice. The bad: Not very well made and flimsy. We were afraid to even put books on it to be honest.. When I put a few books on it, I heard a crackling noise which is never a good sign. My husband warned me that it might not last very long. I am NOT a pro builder by any means even though I followed the steps as closely as I possibly could. I messed up a few times and my husband had to fix it for me. Was kind of a pain to build.

It is a really nice piece, but it came scratched and banged up all over. Very disappointed by this, it also seems to scratch easily.

Was a little disappointed with the assembling of this piece of furniture. One of the back panels to the shelf came out of the box with a crack going along it. It's able to be flipped around so it's not in view so it wasn't that big of a deal. One of the planks had its sockets carved in on the wrong side, so first didn't notice while following the directions in the box, but then once I discovered it I had to try to flip it around without breaking the other pieces, but then once assembled, the side of the had all the holes and sockets facing us now instead of facing inward and being hidden, and I didn't have enough stickers to hide all of the sockets because of it. Part of the shelf cracked from putting the top half on the bottom half, and some of the pieces cracked and split when putting the screws in.
