This is a nice shelf and is pretty light weight. I wanted to use it in my bedroom to store my makeup, perfumes, and other beauty items however it doesn’t quite work with my room setup. It’s taller than I expected it to be but still very nice. I will eventually move it to my hallway and use it to store memorabilia. I like the lights on it and it has a remote to customize it to your liking. Lastly I think the switch between wood and glass shelves was a nice touch.

Great tall bookcase! The arched top is a very nice touch, making this bookcase stand out. It is very tall and impressive. I have not finished adding items to it yet but look forward to having a place to display some of my fav's that have been put away for lack of space to display them. There are also several drawers at the bottom for storage as well. Very pretty bookcase and a great addition to my living room. I highly recommend this bookshelf.

I really wanted to like this arched bookshelf because I loved the design and the idea of having LED lighting built into the shelves. Unfortunately, after assembling and using it, I’m disappointed with both the construction and several of the design choices. First, assembly was much more difficult than expected, especially for one person. Pay very close attention to the orientation of the bottom T-shaped support. If it is installed backward, the fabric drawers will not slide correctly because the open and closed ends will be reversed. I made that mistake because I did not find the directions particularly clear. I also ran into another issue while assembling the frame. The directions show the unit lying on its back during assembly, but one of the screws, I believe it is screw #1, is so small that it can easily fall directly into the hollow metal pole while you're trying to insert it. That's exactly what happened to me. I eventually retrieved it by using an Allen wrench to stop the screw from moving back and forth inside the pole and then using a magnet to pull it out. I would suggest standing the unit upright for this portion of the assembly rather than following the illustration and attempting to insert that small screw while the frame is lying flat. This was definitely not the “quick and easy assembly” I was expecting. The LED lighting was another disappointment. There are grooves intended to hold the LED strips, but mine would not stay securely inside them. I eventually had to use clear tape to keep the lights in place, which obviously isn't the finished look I wanted. Then there is the issue of actually powering the lights. The cord is long enough to reach toward the floor, but unless you have the appropriate USB power source conveniently located where you're placing the bookshelf, you'll need to use a portable charger. That creates another problem: where are you supposed to put it? If you place the portable charger on one of the shelves, you're running the long cord back up the bookshelf and leaving both the charger and wiring visible. More importantly, using the lights now means keeping a portable charger with the bookshelf and remembering to recharge it whenever the battery runs down. I don't want to have to pull out and recharge a portable battery every time I want to use what is supposed to be a built-in feature of the bookshelf. For a piece marketed specifically with LED lighting, I don't think the power source or cord management was well thought out. Another thing about assembly: the flat wood panels in the back of the top, middle, and bottom shelves were extremely tight when I tried to put them into place. I actually had to grab a mallet to knock them into position. Those same panels contain the grooves that are supposed to hold the LED light strips in place, yet the lights don't stay in the grooves. Once assembled, the bookshelf also feels lightweight and somewhat top-heavy. It does include hardware to tether it to the wall, which I would definitely use. The three bottom drawers are fabric rather than substantial cabinet drawers, and overall the finished piece looks less substantial in person than I expected from the product phootos. The arched shape is attractive, and the LED lights themselves look pretty when they're illuminated. However, between the difficult assembly, LED strips that won't stay in their grooves, awkward power setup, lightweight construction, and fabric drawers, this bookshelf isn't going to provide the type of storage or finished furniture look I was hoping for. For the price, I expected better execution of a really nice design idea and a more substantial, solid-feeling piece of furniture.
