We specifically bought this bookcase because the description stated the shelves were metal. Upon arrive, however, the shelves were MDF (manufactured wood) which is the very thing we were trying to avoid. They look beautiful in the space anyway but wanted anyone else to be aware of the error in the descriotion.

I absolutely love my new bookcase, the only thing that kept me from giving it a 5 star review was the fact that the metal parts of the bookcase had some scratch marks.I figured once I had it set up and put my books on it the marks wouldn't be noticeable The bookcase wasn't difficult to set up and seems to be good quality. I'd recommend.

Very sturdy and great modern style. It actually was delivered a week earlier than what was estimated when I ordered it which was a big surprise. I assembled it by myself and it did take me a bit longer than I had thought it might. Mainly because it was a little hard to get everything lined up to put screws in. But it looks great now.
