Bijolle 5 Piece Dining Set

This high top dining table was perfect for my downstairs game room. It’s a great height to have a fun dinner with friends and family and them playing board games or puzzle on. It’s great for getting up quick for a turn when playing darts or another game where you’re up and down a lot. It’s lightweight so one person can easily move it when it’s assembled. The assembly was easy, I added stick on floor protectors to the stool legs and table.

This little 5 piece dining set is a cutie! I'll tell you the pros and cons. Pro: It is designed to be compact, with all 4 bar stools tucking completely under the table when not in use. I chose the Rustic Brown color and I love the look of "aged" wood on black metal. It is both modern and rustic and fits in my French country home (and would be cute in modern farmhouse style as well). The bar height is nice. It fits in a small empty space in our playroom, adding a great little area to eat up there, craft, or play games. I can see how it would be perfect in a small apartment or cozy home too. It is a great price for a dining set. Con: The circumference of the seats are fairly small, the metal is on the thinner side, and overall it is pretty lightweight. It is sturdy enough for my family, but we are pretty average height and weight, if not even on the smaller side. If you are a 300 pound linebacker, this probably isn't the set for you. ;) I'm not sure if this set will stand the test of time, but I believe it will last long enough for this affordable purchase to make sense for my family.

I got this for our son who is moving into his own apartment (currently sharing 4 bedroom home w/friends), so he needed a few pieces of standard furniture. This bar height dining table is just the right size to fit in his 1 bedroom apartment and the stool storage under the table is a bonus for saving space. It was easy to put together and he could have done it by himself, although 2 people make for quick work. The table is sturdy and can sit 4 people comfortably for dinner. The table and stools have a nice farm-house brown color and texture that, along with black legs, feels modern while also being a little rustic.

The instructions were really clear for assembly and it took about twenty minutes-- it came with all the tools and shipped flat which was impressive. The stools are not even and are pretty wobbly though.

I have mixed feelings on this set. I think it looks cute in my space. It’s compact and lightweight- but I wouldn’t consider it sturdy. For a simple as the set is, it was a total pain to put together. Something like this would be ideal for a college student or for a young renter, but for every day family use this isn’t going to hold up. It is so lightweight that my cats knocked the stools over by jumping off of them. If you’re helping your kid get started in life, this is a perfectly good set.
