Very misleading advertising. It was advertised that it was assembled and it was not.

the problem with fine furniture manufacturers is that they really don't make stuff that you need or use everyday. they make stuff you look at, decorate, and treat with kid gloves. so, if you want something useful and functional, you wind up with the pacific rim manufacturers, or a custom piece that is beyond most budgets - and that for the price you paid are afraid to use. having said all that, while not a fine quality piece, this vanity desk is actually the most useful configuration i have found after months of searching, especially for a limited space. it looks fine if you don't get too close in good light, and the finish seems capable of holding up to the way people use something like this - every day, and not all that carefully. overall, i would recommend it, as long as you understand it's not going to be a showpiece, rather a very utilitarian piece that serves it's purpose well. material is particle board, good directions, seems sturdy when assembled, a bit pricey for what it is, IMO. still, good style and, most importantly, good storage capacity.
