This rustic wood farmhouse platform bed is a great bed. It is very sturdy with the metal frame and would agree you do not need a box spring, but for dimension we decided to put both box spring and mattress on the bed. The wood has a very nice finish to it that makes it look like real walnut wood. However it is light weight and very easy for one person to move and position on their own. It also was very easy to assemble and only took about 20 minutes which is quite surprising for such a nice piece of structured furniture. The headboard is not overly tall and the bed sits at a normal height even with a box spring. Overall we are very pleased with the bed and would recommend the purchase at the price. point.

I ordered this to replace a bed that wasn’t very solid and made a lot of noise when I tossed and turned at night. This was pretty easy to assemble. The metal bars for the base seemed sturdier. I am using this without a box spring but am thinking of getting one for 3 reasons . 1) it is very low to the ground 2) the space between the base and headboard lets all my pillows slip through and 3) it still is not as sturdy as I’d like and moves around too much . Overall it looks really nice

This is a very nice bed for a small space. It was kinda hard to put together. Some of the holes did not line up. It took about an hour and a half to put it together. It seems like it’ll be pretty sturdy as long as you didn’t have a boxspring under your mattress, it should work.

Looks great, easy assembly and very sturdy. Has a good rustic look and was definitely a good value!
