The product arrived quicker than I expected. However, after taking all the pieces out, a few showed damage. Putting the coffee table together was fairly simple until it was time to add the arm extensions. That was a two person job. Although the holes are marked, they are not pre-drilled. You will need to drill the screws in first, take them out and then install the arm extension bar. You need a second person to hold everything into place while you screw the top on. That was the most time consuming of the entire process. As for the appearance the damage was not noticeable once put together. However, it will damage easily as the wood veneer is really just paper.

The coffee table arrived quickly and on time. The packaging had wear and tear. There was a small cracked edge on one of the panels. Probably the best assembly instructions I've ever read. I'm rating 2 stars because it's not great construction. And mostly because the coffee table opens to the end, not the side as shown and anticipated. I don't believe I've ever seen a lift top coffee table open to the end. It's almost useless for the purpose of a lift top.

I love the look of this table, and the instructions were fairly easy to understand, but multiple pieces came damaged and one of the pieces had the incorrect pre-drilled holes for the screws. The instructions clearly state that as soon as you start building, the warranty is voided, so I guess I’m stuck with the damagedincorrect parts. The table is sturdy and the size is great for our midsized L-shaped couch. Would give 5 stars if the pieces weren’t damaged.

The wood quality isn't the best, but you get what you pay for. Like the others are saying, the instructions do expect you to screw in the screws without much of a guide hole. It's doable with just a screwdriver, again thanks to the lower quality wood, but you should probably just use an electric drill. Overall I'm pretty happy with the purchase and the gimmicky top is pretty neat, just watch your fingers, the spring-mechanism can be kinda hungry.
