Assembly instructions were not great, as some of the boards were difficult to determine which direction they were supposed to be installed (based on which side the finish was on). Pressed wood with a laminate is not great compared to real wood, but fairly sturdy once completely installed. Some of the laminate was peeling a bit in certain corners, which I wasn't thrilled about on a brand new product, but you get what you pay for from a quality perspective. Some of the surfaces were scratched prior to installing, which I also was not thrilled about. Was surprised to see that the file cabinet supports (the parts that hold the actual folders) were all made of plastic and not metal or aluminum. I hope once we start adding all of our file folders to this cabinet, that it can withstand the weight. The drawer guides were the nicest feature of all, being quiet ball bearing-based drawer sliders. The drawers open and close smoothly.

It’s a nice bookcase. Directions were correct but drilled holes on cross piece in back were wrong causing the finished side to be down. Cant see it though. Quality nice, color true to the pic. Each step of directions the hardware is in separate bags and panels are labeled, so easy to assemble. Drawers hold legal size hanging folders.

arrived as expected, easy to put together and works well
