This is a very nice bed but in my opinion the footboard does not match the headboard design. Also it requires a box spring under the mattress which most mattresses are made for platform beds these days.

I can’t rave enough about this gorgeous bed frame! It appears to be all or most solid wood and the design, with the crown molding is just gorgeous and timeless. My only criticism is that it only has four support beams across the frame to hold the mattress and even though each of them has a support leg it still doesn’t feel strong enough. I decided to buy a box spring for it to add support and also to raise the mattress up as it sits rather low without one. But aside from that I absolutely love the quality build and the design of this piece.
