Exactly what we were looking for. Quite firm, but not rock hard. A cushy throw pillow makes all of the difference. Seems like it will age well. The fabric feels high quality and I expect that it will last many years (unless the cat gets to it). Aesthetically, it's a blend of classic and modern. It fits in really well in our home office. The color seems a tad darker than the picture posted online, but I actually like it better. It complements the corresponding loveseat really well. We really like it!
