Works well on carpet and looks good (as in photos) - it is a hard non-flexible mat (fabric covered hard surface), that comes folded in 1/2 - just in case you didn't know that. I didn't realize that but it made sense once I used it.

gorgeous, seems super sturdy. I absolutely love it. It's a statement piece but subtle at the same time. It seems like great quality and like it will hold up under our office chair.
