Artesano Iron Works Dining Side Chairs Review: Really awesome, made in USA, dining chairs. Solid wood construction, raw leather seats with dark nailhead trim, and hand-forged iron work (so expect *very obvious* variation, especially in scrolls and leaves/leaf stems). Super nice. Excellent focal points that make me smile every time I see them. Works with various *casual* "old world" decor styles, not just Mediterranean. French Norman, Spanish Colonial, Storybook, and Tudor/English Cottage could all find a place for these chairs, in my opinion. The only downside is that the chairs seem to have been spray-stained after assembly, so the wood stain ended up all over the iron work and the leather seats. Good news is, it eventually wears off the leather (comes off on skin, not clothing, so far), and the leather attains a nice patina. I have not attempted to clean the iron work. Would definitely recommend, despite the stain over spray. EDITED TO ADD: Bought 2 more chairs, 2 years later. NOT made in USA anymore, ironwork is sloppier, and both chairs arrived structurally damaged from insufficient packaging. Artesano Ironworks replaced the broken chairs, but *very* disappointing to pay MORE for chairs made overseas (Colombia).
