Not at all what was expected. Trim was poorly attached. No underside support for drawers. Drawers would drop, when pulled out. Corners worn, as the only protection provided in transit was a gauzy/mesh bag. For the hefty price, a rather disappointing purchase.

Desk is even better in person! The wood carvings are very intricate and well-done. Great piece! The only negative is one of the drawers doesn't seem to slide out very well, will need a little work, but would definitely not let that stop me from buying it. It was also bigger than I thought it would be, even after viewing dimensions.
