I'm using my book cabinet as a little free library and it has been wonderful so far. It was easy to assemble and looks adorable near my Farm Stand. The materials are a bit on the "cheap side" but that makes sense considering the reasonable price. If you are going to use this cabinet inside then I don't think there is any room for improvement; however, if you are using outside there are some things to consider. 1. The door doesn't have a latch so it easily opens on it's own and won't stay closed when situated outside. I added my own magnetic latch. 2. The materials are not painted or sealed so I stained mine to help it withstand the natural elements. 3. The roof's middle seam will allow water to leak through so I added a strip of water tight tape across it. Considering the price and ease of assembly I found the book cabinet easy to customize towards my needs.

I was overall disappointed with this product. It was the cheapest library box I could find on the internet, so I should have known the quality was not great. The screws for the handle were not even long enough to go through the wood and come out the other side. The door did not close because the shelf in the middle was sticking out too far, preventing the door from being flush. It also doesn’t have any sort of magnet or anything to keep it closed even if it did fit properly. If it could be assembled properly, it would be cute and functional from afar, but definitely will need some sort of weatherproofing to help it stand up to the elements if you plan to use it outside. I reached out for replacement parts so I can assemble it properly. We will see what happens.
