I love this bed frame! I can see why it's a popular model. It's sturdy, the design is beautiful and the bronze color is exactly what I wanted. However…and there’s always that.
It does not support a bed skirt without laying down a piece of thin plywood over the frame first because the bed skirt slides and/or drops between the slats.. It also does not have room enough to put on your bedding such as mattress pad, sheets and comforter. It's a very-very tight squeeze to get them on. Not even enough room for a hand or fingers to pull them down with. They should have added two inches of length on each end of the frame for that, so now it's a struggle to change bedding each time which makes it hard on me since I'm disabled. I still love this bed, but it could have been better designed with longer dimensions to compensate for bedding.
It's also a challenge for one person to put this together. It took me by myself about five hours, but I used some creative maneuvering to do that. I do recommend two people for balance and getting in and out of the frame while placing the slats on.
Also, both headboard and footboard pieces could have been four inches taller so that it can be seen well. It does not accommodate a 10"inch mattress very well without obscuring the beautiful head and footboards, and when pillows are added it hides the frame as well. The reason people are buying this bed frame is because of the look and they want that to be seen and not hidden. However…It’s still a great purchase for me to use in my guest room.
