This table is absolutely gorgeous, but unfortunately the beauty doesn’t make up for the ordeal that came with purchasing it. My one‑star rating is entirely due to the issues I experienced after the sale.
When the table first arrived, I received only two boxes labeled 13 and 23. I contacted Wayfair and was told that only two boxes existed for this item. Trusting that information, I opened the boxes and began assembling the table—only to discover that one piece was missing and several others were damaged. The assembly instructions are not customer friendly either the assembly is very time consuming and cumbersome.
I reached out again, and Wayfair sent a replacement. This time, the delivery included three boxes. When I asked why, I was told that the table should come in three boxes. I explained that my original shipment included only two. Their solution was for me to use all five boxes now in my possession to assemble one complete table and return any unused parts. Repacking everything and scheduling a FedEx pickup was inconvenient and time‑consuming. I was given a partial discount for the trouble, but it didn’t fully compensate for the experience.
After finally assembling the table, I discovered that the tabletop itself was damaged—a chunk of wood appeared to have broken off and been glued back on. I contacted Wayfair yet again, and they agreed to send another full table since they couldn’t replace individual pieces. I received a delivery notification, but two days later I got a call saying the package was being held at FedEx because I supposedly requested a refund, which I never did. After more back‑and‑forth, Wayfair told FedEx to release the shipment.
The replacement table has now been delivered, but I haven’t opened it yet. Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if this one is damaged too.
This table was pricey, and the amount of frustration involved has made me question whether I would purchase from Wayfair again. I truly hope other customers haven’t had an experience like mine.
