I love this island! I did seal it with a cutting board sealant for protection.

Beautiful finish. High quality. Heavy piece of furniture. Only imperfection I noticed was one of the basket drawers is a little tight. A light sanding on the corners will probably fix it though. Otherwise, it's perfect and exactly as described/photographed. Packaging was more than adequate.
