This farmhouse nightstand/end table arrived with all pieces intact and in good condition. It was packed inside the sizeable box with cardboard inserts and plenty of styrofoam sheets so that each piece was well insulated against damage. The box was somewhat heavy at about fifty lbs. There are numerous pieces, a screwdriver, well marked packets of all the necessary hardware and even extras. The job of assembling this piece was quite a challenge even for my son who is quite experienced. It is not a difficult job and the instructions are clear and well illustrated but it is a long and tedious process. A bit of tweaking is needed as well to insure a solid even structure and well closing doors. Once complete it is very attractive, substantial and offers a lot of storage space as well as the outlets and charging block. The unit is solid and heavy. I found the finish nice both inside and out. There were a few spots that were less than perfect looking. Those areas actually give the piece a more authentic and vintage look. I wiped the table down and it seems to clean easily and any marks from our assembly were immediately cleaned away. As I study the table in my guestroom I really like the look of it and the fact that it will offer my guests the conveniences of storage, docking station and an open area for books and magazines and other personal items. I actually used this somewhat smaller piece to replace a five drawer dresser I originally had in the room. I really like the design and appearance with the beadboard look finish, barn doors and black hardware. This is a piece that really does work for me!
