Beautiful piece of furniture and very sturdy. The only reasons for not giving it 5 stars the top shelf of the base portion is slightly bowed. This means that the lowest back cross piece doesn’t sit flush and the provided screws barely connect the 2 pieces. There was no way to repack and return without a lot of drama. Despite that flaw, I really love the piece and it coordinates well with my decor.

The first book case that I received was cracked. Even though it was the holidays, Wayfair sent out a replacement asap. The case is very solid and well constructed. It went together with just a few problems, the major one was trying to screw in the shelves. The wrench they supply is almost impossible to fit into the area to secure the screws. It is a really close match to my Ashley table, chairs and buffet and I love the way it looks in my dining area.
