I bought these for our two dogs because of size, what appears to be long lasting comfort and the material. I wanted something that would not have to regularly be disassembled and washed to clean it. I wanted something to just be able to wipe clean and be done with it. However, from the pictures and what I interpreted as vegan leather and description given, i thought it was going to be the smooth shiny material but it isn’t. For example, and lack of better words to describe, it’s like comparing smooth slick leather vs suede. I wanted and thought it was like smooth slick leather which is easier to wipe and it would be a great blocker of odors and dirt getting into the corestuffing from our dogs laying in them often. Other average dog beds you have to pull off the material covers and wash it and the insides to keep them fresher, cleaner and not smell of dogs or hold dirtdander. That’s more maintenance than i want because it would need to be done so often. These ottomans are more like a fabric couch vs leather in that regard and we wanted to avoid that. So, it’s great, for us and dogs in all ways except that, which I described and was actually the most important feature we want and need. ( in process of remodeling and redecorating our home and certain things like this really matter)
