I did a lot of research regarding the weight capacity of metal beds. We have a king size black beauty rest mattress that works best with box springs so the total mattress weight has to be around 200lbs. My husband and I combined are just under 400 lbs. so I wanted a minimum of 700 lbs to more than cover. Also my husband is 6’2” and I was concerned about his feet getting caught in the footboard. We tested it without the box springs because the bed doesn’t require those. He didn’t have any issues but we ended up adding the box springs anyway. Now the bed with the springs goes higher than the footboard. The mattress height alone is 14 inches and box springs add about 4 inches. The bed frame is heavy at just under 103 pounds so that was important. I didn’t want a lightweight frame. The decor on the head and footboard is beautiful, gives an antique vibe like the bed my grandmother had but no squeaking. We have slept on this for just under a week and there is no sound. We were able to put this together is about twenty minutes. The instructions are clear with numbers for connecting pieces that slid into place easily. We did use the rubber mallet included to secure each piece. Love the bed, very happy with the sturdiness and look.

Sturdy, attractive frame, but it sits quite low. The bed frame feels heavy, solid, and well made. However, it is lower to the ground than we expected. Since my partner is 6’2”, we are planning to use bed risers long term for a more comfortable height. Overall, a great frame if you like a low-profile look or do not mind adding risers.

This bed is exactly what we wanted. Huge bonus that it was very easy to assemble!

So elegant and timeless. Our guest room is sooo much happier with this new frame. Pics don’t do it justice. It looks high end well worth the price. Very easy to put together with clear instructionsz
