The chair is beautiful, but not functional. The chair was created to rotate fully, but because of the construction, the chair gets locked at certain odd angles. Where the chair is very decorative on the sides, that is the part that keeps the chair from turning. The chair is comfortable, but the back rest is not sturdy. The amazing assembly team sent by Wayfair tried so hard to do a good job and making the back sturdy that they broke one of the bolts. That was not a dealbreaker for me because the part of the bolt they broke was just decorative. It’s just simply that the chair is not functional. Because the chair often gets stuck in between the sides, it does not recline easily to the shampoo bowl because of becoming stuck. The release lever for the back is also for left-handed stylist and not right handed Stylists. So being right handed, if I wanted to recline the chair, I would have to walk around to the other side just to recline it. However, even that is difficult because once the chair gets stuck, your foot can’t access the lever. The base was scratched, and the chair is also much lighter than it appears in person. Again, that was not a dealbreaker. It’s just that the chair is simply not at all functional. I’ll be returning it. I’m really disappointed because I really wanted to keep this beautiful chair. It’s just too hard to work with.
