Table de bout à tambour Courtne

It looks great and is exactly what we wanted. We were able to get an open-box deal and the price was right too. From a distance it looks impressive, up close you can see it is lower quality. It is hollow and made of MDF. There is a very thin burl veneer over the top. In the places where the burl is dark and the original wood is knotty there are holes in the veneer and the underlying MDF shows through. The stock photos show this, it just isn't apparent when purchasing. I have uploaded a section from one of the stock photos of the table. Each of those light tan spots that are encircled by a dark ring are the MDF showing through. There is a slight divit when you run your finger over those spots since the veneer is not solid. But from a distance, it looks great. Not very heavy either.
