HEADLINE: Pretty to look at, but don't sit on them! I love the *look* of these and the "leather" has held up very well - I will give them that! But having having them for a few years now, that is where my love for them stops. The first "oops" was during a Family Christmas - when one of the guests (sitting on one of the little ones) ended up on the floor when one of the legs gave way. She was horrified. (So was I!) Then I come out here to confirm weight capacity: 400lbs. I would suggest that is a combined total of all three pieces because this poor girl was less than half that weight! Note in the pic - one leg is irrevocably bent. I still have them because they are just so pretty! Now we solely use them for storage - Pup toys in one, fire-starters in another, and the long bench is used for throws and extra pillows; defeating the purpose of purchasing them for additional seating for holidays. If I just wanted cheap storage benches, I would not have gotten these - I wanted solid, rich extra seating - which these don't provide.
