Buffet en bois massif à 4 portes et 4 tiroirs Rubi, armoire traditionnelle de 66,5 pouces de largeur

The item came with the top piece completely cracked.

Even though there was only one review, I thought maybe it was a shipping issue. I took my chance on this because the dimensions and style and color all appeared to be exactly what I was looking for. The piece missed the marked in three ways (so far): 1) The color is not a soft brown as it looks online - it is orange. 2) As you can see in the photo, there is a 2-foot crack that runs clean through the sideboard's top (and as it was at the bottom of the box, I didn't discover this until I'd unpacked everything else). Coincidence or did they sell me the same cracked item the other buyer returned? 3) The wood (or stain) puts off a horrific odor. Presumably this will eventually fade, but while awaiting the resolution from the seller I had to move the pieces to the garage because the fumes were giving me a headache. The jury is out on a rating for the resolution process. Wayfair said they've notified the vendor/seller who has 1 business day to get in touch with me. Because I received the piece on a Friday, that means waiting for the weekend. If the seller doesn't resolve the issue, apparently only then will Wayfair step in.
