This cabinet has to be fully assembled when it arrives. My husband and I assembled it for my mother. The instructions could be kind of vague at times which made putting it together a little tricky. Once it's built it's pretty solid/sturdy. However the lock doesn't work, once you lock it, it won't unlock. The key turns as if it unlocked but it doesn't actually drop the bar all the way to drop the pins back down. But we figured out the lock is useless for actual security because you just need to pull the middle drawer to the side enough to see the pin and then use a knife to push it down the rest of the way. Once we did that my mom decided to never lock it again. It does the job and it's sturdier than I expected it to be. Just don't count on it to be super secure.
