these chairs were pretty easy to assemble. i really like the classic look and neutral colors. however as it stood them both upright and got ready to put them to my table (first time i had seen the rear) i saw that there was a torn area at the back of the upholstered seat. looking closer i realized that there was a screw (not a type that came to assemble) that had torn through the base of the seat. this had happened at the factory ( a power screw driver). this chair should have never passed a factory inspector. i may be able "back out" the screw and repair w wood glue. disappointed! *****upon reexamination, i believe that i actually caused the rip. my apologies to the manufacturer!

Item fits description. The wood quality it just so-so but it looks nice - not sure I trust the 250 suggested weight capacity. They were easy to assemble. Comfy to sit on with the foam cushion seat and curved slat back.
