I am wondering whether to give five stars for a finished chair that I truly love and looks beautiful or give four stars for how difficult it was to assemble and the stretchers bars are not as secure as they should have been for the price. To assemble you need two people ,a power screw driver with a star bit, wooden toothpicks, and a large vice to hold the seat to the back rest while attempting to get the bolts into the pre-drilled holes. Beginners step aside and find someone who has some construction background like my husband. Follow the directions exactly as written. Working from a table would help. The main problem we found were the three stretcher bars. They do not fit snugly. The included screws do not tighten on the crossbar. My husband had to resort to a tip he learned from his father to re-tighten cabinet doors once the screws no longer hold. First he used a long vice to hold the crossbars in place. He then took wooden toothpicks and pushed them into the hole, broke them off, and then attempted to tighten the screw and that extra wood gave him the tightness he wanted. He also used the vice to hold the seat in place on one side while he placed the long bolts on the other side. They seemed not to fit the holes. Beautiful chairs and if you don't have someone who can help you assemble, pay the assemble price.

I love these chairs so much!!! Really sturdy and classy. Easy to assemble!
