The bench is lovely and as anther purchaser commented the wood is much darker than advertised. Some imperfections and the instructions too vague otherwise 5 stars

This bench is a solid piece of furniture. It is much darker than the photo on the website but its still nice. Four stars due to a few "distressed marks" in the wood. Fortunatly, since I've ordered a custom cushion they won't show. My husband and I assembled together (ages 78 & 75). Had to change a couple dowl plugs to get the parts to fit. All in all, it's a sturdy bench.
