Chaise en bois massif

I ordered a set of two solid wood chairs, and unfortunately, the entire experience was very disappointing. The chairs arrived in a heavily damaged box that looked like it had already been opened or repacked. Inside, there were broken pieces of Styrofoam, random cardboard that appeared to be from other products, and scrap paper that looked like leftovers from unrelated items. The packaging did not properly protect the chairs and gave the impression that these may have been previously returned or poorly handled. Once unpacked, the condition of the chairs was unacceptable. Both chairs had multiple scratches and dents in several locations. One seat had a visible crack that had been filled with a putty-like material, which is especially concerning for a new product. Another chair leg also had a crack in it, raising questions about durability and structural integrity. The finish quality was also poor. The varnish had been rubbed off in several areas on both chairs, leaving uneven spots and exposed wood. Additionally, the seam between the seat and the back of the chair is poorly connected and reflects subpar workmanship. The leg connections show similar issues, with gaps and inconsistent joinery that do not inspire confidence in the overall build quality. Overall, these chairs do not meet the expectations for new solid wood furniture. Between the inadequate packaging, visible damage, poor repairs, and questionable craftsmanship, I cannot recommend this product.

The varnish was not evenly distributed on the chairs. Some areas received no varnish at all.

Beautiful! Heavy, but use outdoors under lanai…they are not blowing away that’s for sure!

Heavy and good quality. Many were damaged or cracked but was made right by Wayfair and seller.
