These stools look even better in person. They fit beautifully at our kitchen island and made the space feel more finished. Assembly was easy (just attach the base to the seat with 4 screws with the included hex key), and the stools feel solid and well made. The seat and back are both nicely cushioned, which was important to me because I wanted something supportive, where I can sit for a while comfortably for a meal or work on my laptop. My low back did not hurt after sitting in them, which is a major plus. The seat height worked well for our counter, which is 50” wide and 31” from floor to underside. I still had plenty of thigh clearance under the countertop. The swivel is a little firm on both stools, but it feels smooth and substantial rather than flimsy. Overall, I would recommend them. They are comfortable, good-looking, and feel like a quality piece of furniture.
