I was hoping this would be the perfect bed frame! Instead, it’s a mixed bag.
Pros:
-Looks great
-Tall and comfortable headboard with a slight recline
-Easy to clean underneath while still being relatively low to the ground
Cons:
-The last slat ends over 6 inches before it reaches the foot of the bed. I have recently replaced my latex mattress with a hybrid mattress and have seen both mattresses
literally curl down at the end and hang into this massive gap where the slat support ends near the foot. This takes over 6” off of the length of my bed, and is frankly scary. I do not understand this decision to space the slats this way at all, and I am worried it will void the warranty on my mattress. If it weren’t for this issue, I would have given another star.
-Some of the slats were really hard to get on the bed when installing. They were a bit too wide for the frame and had to be forced on.
-Some of the screw holes in the slats did not match up with the holes in the side-rails, making installation frustrating and difficult for an apartment dweller like me
without a lot of tools on hand
-I bought this bed because I thought it would be sturdy. It isn’t bad, but I can definitely feel some side to side swaying whenever my husband turns over or sits on the bed. It’s not a huge deal, but I am hoping it doesn’t get worse over time.
