Basically this is a very nice piece. Part of the bottom of the screen was damaged in a small area, but the way I have it placed you will not see it, so would never go through the hassle of trying to return a piece so large. The wood is a very matte finish. Does not have a shine to it at all, which to me makes it looks a little less formal. Personally, I was hoping for a little shine. Also it looks far less red-dish than it does in the picture, although I would still consider the wood of the screen a color a 'warmer' tone. It is a sturdy piece, had no problem getting it to stand where I wanted it. All in all, I am pleased with the purchase.

Although it has some scuff marks , the overall look is just perfect. We have a VERY long expanse from a 22'kitchen into another 18' of family room. It needed a classy divider. We first tried soji screens. They looked really cheap. This is much better. The soji screens can be used to shield the kitchen from the dining room These screens belong in more formal areas. Just perfect

Nice design. Not such good quality. It needed adjustments to stand up straight. We hooked one end to a wall for more stability. Needed a lot of touch ups because the stain was not uniformly applied. We kept it and fixed it so we didn't have to deal with shipping. Picture looks so much better. It looks so much more shinier and lighter in color.
