Caution: There were several deep, discolored dents the size and shape of parts of screws and bolts on one of the narrow ends. The package of screws and bolts packaged next to that end of the table likely were banged or compressed through the otherwise nicely packaged piece created the deep, discolored dents.
I accepted the resolution discount after I addressed the problem with some expresso...stain...painted with a small brush into the dents.
As received the spot "jumped out at you" visually because of the former contrast of colors (light tan inside the dent, dark expresso outside). After my patch, walking by, the flaw does not catch your eye. You have to look hard to find the problem. Yes the dents are still there, but you just don't notice them unless you search for them.
I tried test swatches of various fillers like "wood filler". None, when painted with the expresso stain appear to be anywhere close to a match in color or texture to the Vanity Set. I felt like the difference in color and texture would...highlight rather than hide the problem dents. So, I did not attempt to "fill" the dents. I just left the staining of the exposed lighter wood as my entire "fix".
I hope the manufacturer begins to put the ...screws, nuts and bolts...inside the furniture to...avoid...this problem for others.
Other than this issue, the Vanity Set was very nice, otherwise well packed. I felt sorry that the nice work of many people was ruined by the ....one....packing problem.
