I would have given this 5* but for two reasons. The first is I was slightly disappointed that the color of the furniture did not match the picture - it was actually a very dark brown. Would have preferred the lighter, warmer coloring shown in the picture. The second is that the top compartment lid which opens up doesn’t have a safety mechanism which allows the lid (which is heavy) to close slowly and/or stop at any given point. It slams shut. So be careful you don’t get your fingers caught. And keep children away from playing with the compartment lid.

This is a solid and beautifully finished piece. I was hoping that it would look a bit darker than in the picture and bit does. It makes for more of a deeply polished true mahogany look. Would have gotten the fifth star but needs to come down a bit in price for that.
