UPDATE 03182026 After just over a year of use, I’m updating this review due to an ongoing issue. I do not recommend this as dining room table due to the finish. I have several permanent marks on the table top due to heat from plates holding warm food. I’ve never had this problem with a dining table. We try to use placemats but that doesn’t always happen. Not happy with this purchase.

The chairs arrived well packaged and in good condition. However, after assembling the first chair, I decided to return them because they just didn't work right with my table and other furniture. The black wood finish is very smooth and has a sheen. The other black wood pieces in my home have more of a natural texture look, which I prefer.

Pretty are but arrive all frames broken. We are returning this. Wayfair products have changed over the years
