Condition upon delivery: Horrible. One of the boxes seemed to be a return. The original tape was opened and a poor re-taping was done with clear box tape. One box was crushed. Some parts appeared to be opened end repackaged (i.e. the drawer glides). The desk surface was warped and scratched in the front. The good thing is that every piece was accounted for and nothing was missing. Overall Quality: Horrible. This is a very lightly stained pine wood. It looks like it is not finished. It does not even have a minimal urethane or wax coating that most wood furniture has. The wood is not sanded smooth and it is very easy to get a splinter if rubbed the wrong way. The desk surface is not a ply-wood. It is strips of wood glued together. Pine is a soft wood. You can actually damage this just by scraping it with your finger nail. It will not hold up to having computer monitors and one better not press hard when using it for a writing surface. The shelf is small pieces of scrap wood fused together with many finger joints. Assembly experience. Horrible. It comes with a 14 page instruction manual, with the illustrations numbered and lettered. However, none of the actual wood parts are numbered. It was not fun trying to figure out what parts were what. There are also inconsistencies in the instructions, which cause you to have to disassemble and reassemble later in the process. Although the all pre-drilled holes lines up, the assembled pieces where not straight or square. This caused gaps and a not-so clean final assembled product. Due to the warped desk surface, it was extremely difficult to attach it with all 12 fasteners.

The desk is fine once it is built but in my opinion there are a number of pieces which could have been factory assembled before delivery

Horrible— not at all as pictured or described. It says executive desk but the back side (which is not pictured on the page) is tacked boards. Cheaply made and any writing done on the surface will depressed the wood. It came with two huge marks across the top of the desk and in 100+ pieces. The instructions on the website (bc my box did not have any included) are for a sideboard buffet— not the desk.
