The material is soft, the color is a little duller than in the pictures. It is ok for a dining table chair - but I wouldn't want to sit in it for too long. This is the 2nd chair I have ordered on Wayfair and wondered why it is so skinny. I'm not a big person - if I was, I would return the chair. It is VERY narrow for a dining chair.

Im so pleased with my dining set!! Its not too bulky and the chairs are extremely comfortable! The instructions said it would take 45 minutes for 2 people to put it together but it only took my husband and I 27 minutes. The instructions were really thorough which made it easy to install. I love this set!!
